Marketing is defined as an intermediary between a company, product or service, and the public. Therefore, your role in the company may vary according to the company's needs and expertise.

Some people may work in product development, increasing brand awareness, and managing social media. There are many jobs in the marketing field and here are a few that might suit your needs and skills.

1. Marketing Specialist

One of the most common types of marketing jobs is that of a marketing specialist. This position is responsible for designing and creating campaigns that can support the growth of a company's products or services.

They are responsible for researching trends and determining what types of products or services consumers are interested in. After that, they will develop sales presentations and provide reports based on the collected information such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and prices.

2. Product Manager

A business needs a department that oversees product development from start to finish. Through market research, industry experience, and contact with customers the product manager will create and develop products from existing ideas

The product manager is responsible for ensuring that the product is released on schedule and within budget. Their main goal is to increase the profitability of existing products and develop new products of the company.

3. Public Relations

Instead of selling products or services, public relations uses traditional and digital marketing tools to increase a company's visibility and influence over the public, investors, employees, business affiliates and the media.

Public relations are storytellers who create narratives to advance the company's agenda. Good public relations will analyze the company's sentiments, find the company's strengths, and translate it into strategic communications that benefit the company.

4. Social Media Manager

As can be seen from the name, the field of work has a lot to do with social media. Internet platforms that gave rise to social media such as Instagram, Facecook, Twitter and so on have created new marketing strategies.

The role of the social media manager is to increase brand awareness in the audience. Through social media, they are responsible for ensuring that existing campaigns and content work relevant to current trends.

For maximum results, team members are needed who are able to work in various fields such as digital content creation, development, execution, and integration.

5. Content Creator

Content creator is one of the newest marketing jobs to emerge due to the growth of the internet and social media. Through blog posts, bulletins, content, and the involvement of content creators on social media, this can increase brand awareness, interest, and demand for the company's products or services.

To be effective, companies need to know the interests and needs of their target audience. This requires extensive research by market analysis. After this, content creators will use social media and SEO to spread the company's message which will later become bid prospects.

6. SEO Specialist

A Search Engine Optimization Specialist or SEO specialist is responsible for increasing search rates on search engines and directing audiences to the company's website. To optimize these searches, SEO specialists must be able to choose the right keywords.

The website optimization process must also be supported by writing content that is centered on keywords and an attractive user experience. This is expected to be able to lure consumers to explore the website.

The SEO specialist will analyze the effectiveness of the campaign and adapt it to their strategy. In the end, marketing is not a field of work that moves alone. You will not only work with team members, but also with people in creative, sales, finance, and logistics fields.

If you want to take a job in marketing, it's a good idea to have good written and verbal communication skills. That way, you can work and carry out your role well both as a leader and as a team player.

Companies can also project company executives to understand the overall marketing strategy.
