Why Happiness at Work is Important for Companies

Happiness at Work is not just a short-term talk a day or two. Happiness at Work talks today, tomorrow, next year, even until we close our careers in the world of work later. Don't forget that at least a third of our time in a day is spent at work. That's why Happiness at Work takes a very important role.  

Surveys show that the progress of countries in Asia is more often followed by a decline in the level of happiness in that country. In the past decade, more and more media have reported on the incidence of suicide among workers from these developed countries, and it is not impossible that the same pattern will occur in this country if we ignore the happiness in the workplace. 

Happiness at Work has become the most massive movement in the last two decades worldwide, not only because it was driven by the suicide incident above. The shift in market segments and the generation of the workforce in the company, all of which will soon be filled by millennials and generation Z, pushes organizational management to no longer be the same as 10 or 20 years ago. Changes in consumer behavior and preferences from a young age are also carried over into the organization, where these young people want a different way of managing the organization from before. Employees from millennial and Z generations when applying to a company are no longer just looking for a salary or position.

Millennials are looking for a workplace that gives meaning. They see how the work culture in the company treats its employees, work atmosphere, boss style, freedom of communication, balance between work and things outside of work, and other aspects that are very different from what applicants were looking for before. When organizations are unresponsive and late in adapting to these changes, it is certain that in the next few years there will be many companies that have the potential to find it difficult to find new employees.

Because happy leaders create happy employees, happy employees create happy customers, and happy customers create happy companies.
